Wye and Welsh challenge 2026 update

Hey folks ,

It is with great disappointment that I have to tell you unfortunately this years event is being cancelled due to the issue of south wales area being on fire🤦‍♂️

The new site has mainly wooded trialling areas which aren’t to bad , but the camping and surrounding access fields / rest of the farm are beyond dry and crispy and with little running water on site and a already stretched fire service, we now have the army helping !! Its is not fair to the landowner to take the risk as it’s already on the hills in the surroundings area

The hills around last years venue in cwm are ablaze as we speak !!!

The Wye and Welsh lrc are not willing to put people’s lives, family’s or vehicles/ belongings at risk, although this is very disappointing for the club /landowner and the people who have put time in already setting out , we have booked the land for next year so hopefully see you at this great site then
